Pomp and Circumstance March No. 1 in D echoed in the sanctuary of Alice Drive Baptist Church’s 11 a.m. service on Sunday as the church celebrated its 20 graduates in a special ceremony.
Each graduate was announced and walked across the stage to receive a gift from Lead Pastor Clay Smith. Before the ceremony, most graduates met me outside for solo and family portraits to preserve the occasion.
Years ago, I was one of the photographers who captured graduates walking across the stage to receive their diplomas during high school graduation ceremonies. Sunday’s ceremony at church brought those memories flooding back!
