The photographs in TIME’s Top 100 Photos of 2023 collection from TIME’s photography department are quite simply amazing.
This list was released yesterday, and I have looked at these images over and over again. Every time, I see something new and inspiring.
I encourage all of you to set aside some time in your day to look at the photographs in this collection. Don’t rush through them; take time to really look at each image. Experience the emotion. Feel the joy and the pain.
Every one of these photographs conveys a story in a single image. That is something that is becoming lost in our visually-overwhelming society at large.
