Fall festival finds

Today, we went to the 2023 Midlands Fall Arts & Crafts Market in West Columbia. This annual market features more than 150 vendors selling a vareity of fall, Halloween and holiday-themed arts and crafts.

I was hoping to see one of my favorite local vendors there, but the shop wasn’t present this time.

Among the arts and crafts vendors, were several food trucks. I took advantage of stopping by two of them. The first was The Donut Guy. They offer a variety of sweet treats to tempt the tastebuds and expand the waistline. I went with a dozen of their mini donuts with powdered sugar on top and a fried Twinkie to share with Laura. (Yes, I deemed that nutritious and healthy selection breakfast for the day.)

At the other end of the building housing vendors was a coffee vendor, SIPSetc. To celebrate the fall season, I went with their take on a s’mores hot coffee. Totally delicious! (Check out the photo of my drink in the featured image above.)

We picked up a couple of items at the market. Laura got a gift for a co-worker, a dress for her granddaughter and a new handcrafted pen. I ended up picking up some salsa and BBQ sauce from Nolan’s Sauce out of Lexington and a crocodile band for my Apple Watch to wear on dressy occasions.

All in all, a great morning at the outdoor marketplace.
