The Old Is New Again

In addition to photography, I am interested in graphic design. This interest dates back to my high school days when I designed pages for the student newspaper and placed text, photographs, and advertisements.

I took classes at Indiana University in illustration, graphic design, and typography. Those were some of my favorite courses, thanks in no small part to the professor.

Late last year, I heard that Mountain Dew, my preferred soda brand, had undergone a graphic design change. It seems the powers-that-be have decided to return to the logo’s roots and use the full product name once again.

I find the new look vibrant, colorful, and energetic…much like the effect the drink has on those of us who choose to drink it.

I’m curious as to what you think about it. Leave your comments on the post below and share your thoughts.
