I couldn’t resist snapping this photo of Ellie chilling in the home office with me this afternoon. She is such a beautiful and photogenic dog that it is easy to get good photos of her regularly.
When we adopted her back in Indiana, we did a DNA test to get check her breed and learn of potential health issues we needed to be aware of. The test confirmed she is 75% American Staffordshire Terrier and 25% American Bulldog (which matched what the breeder told us).
Thankfully, the DNA kit didn’t reveal any specific health issues. Just what we consider to be the standard big dog issues of hip and joint issues.
